LED bulbs have a very low power consumption, which can cause flickering, non-functioning, or false warnings about bulb burnout on vehicles equipped with computer-controlled bulb functionality checks, even with installed LED bulbs with a CANBUS decoder. This usually prevents operational errors on most vehicles, but not all. In these vehicles, false bulb burnout messages may still occur even when using a LED bulb with CANBUS. In this case, an additional intermediate CANBUS smart decoder must be added to the bulb.
