With NIGHT BREAKER H1-LED, OSRAM's first street legal LED replacement lamp is now on the market.

The plug-and-play solution offers drivers significant advantages: very high cool white color temperature of 6,000 Kelvin with up to 220% more brightness compared to the minimum requirements of ECE R112, up to 5 times longer lifespan compared to halogen lamps and an additional 50% less glare. Only applies to the respective countries in which there is approval and the vehicle models and light functions currently listed in the compatibility list. LED bulbs have very low power consumption, so on vehicles with computer-controlled bulb operation checks, flickering, malfunction, or false warnings about bulb failure may occur despite the installation of an LED bulb with a CANBUS decoder. This usually prevents faults on most vehicles, but not all. On these vehicles, false messages about bulb burnout may still occur despite using an LED bulb with CANBUS. In this case, it is necessary to add an additional intermediate CANBUS smart decoder to the bulb.

Check the vehicle type and headlight approval number. On the list of compatible models, check if your vehicle is listed. Important: the headlight approval number is crucial for the approval of the bulb. Data such as vehicle type and year of manufacture are intended only for quicker searching. Compare the headlight approval number on the list with the number on your car's headlight. It starts with "E" and one or two numbers in a circle, followed by a sequence of 4 or 5 numbers. If the approval numbers of your headlights match the data on the compatibility list, you can obtain a certificate for legal use in road traffic for vehicles registered in Slovenia. Make your purchase at TEHNOSHOP.NET (the Slovenian distributor of OSRAM) or at one of the authorized partners and arrange for professional installation, which is a condition for obtaining a certificate of compliance with your vehicle and homologation for the replacement of LED bulbs. The approval of LED bulbs for legal use in each individual vehicle model is an extremely complex process. Therefore, at this moment it is not possible to provide any timeframe in response to this question, and we hope for your understanding regarding this matter. OSRAM is continuously striving to develop this area.
