LED bulbs have very low power consumption, so vehicles with computer-controlled bulb function checks may experience flickering, malfunction, or false alerts of bulb burnout even with a CANBUS decoder installed. The decoder usually prevents errors in operation on most vehicles, but not all. On these vehicles, false alerts about burnt-out bulbs may still occur despite using an LED bulb with CANBUS. In this case, an additional intermediate CANBUS smart decoder needs to be added to the bulb.
